What Is Embrace U?

Embrace U is an evidence-based, outpatient therapy provider designed to help people ages 10-18 gain control over the symptoms of a mental illness.

The Embrace U care team includes a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, licensed therapists, and registered nurses.

Our mental health clinic in Brentwood offers outpatient therapy programs to adolescents. Participants and their families gain the support they need through group experiences and structured individual and family therapy. Our therapy programs help adolescents develop coping skills, stronger self-esteem, and better ways to communicate.

Embrace U became my daughter's home away from home. When she was discharged she was excited to have accomplished so much but sad at the same time because she genuinely loved going to Embrace U. Rachel made a connection with her that very few have been able to. She was able to love her and push her at the same time. I am still as her mother striving to be like Rachel!Embrace U is a loving environment and a safe place where you can take your kids to get the help that they need. From group therapy, medication check-ups to family sessions, they cover it all. The front desk staff is super friendly, the overall aesthetic is warm and inviting, and the most important thing is that it was a place that my daughter felt included, wanted and like she had a voice. I wish all kids could experience that feeling because that is what growing up should be like for our kids. Thank you Embrace U for all of your support and guidance throughout our journey with you. You all will hold a special place in our hearts, especially Miss Rachel ❤️

I will forever recommend Embrace U to friends and family. Their care is unparalleled, their attention to detail and diving head first to provide the support teens need makes this place truly special. Med management was never forced, but always educational. They took the time to make a special connection with my son which did not go unnoticed. The balance of group therapy and individual therapy (we love you Ms. Rachel!!!), allowed my teen to reach some pretty big mental health goals in the time he was there. I appreciated the parent educational sessions as well! Out family felt very supported during a heavy time. Cannot thank them enough!

Embrace U was founded to combat the growing mental health crisis among adolescents in Middle Tennessee. 

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, nearly 50% of parents have reported their adolescents being diagnosed with mental health issues.
The Tennessee Department of Education found that Tennessean children and adolescents are experiencing mental health issues at a growing rate.
Over 50% of Tennessee adolescents diagnosed with depression received no care last year.
OUR SIMPLE PROCESS

How Our Brentwood Mental Health Clinic Works

Our evidence-based outpatient therapy programs are personalized to fit each participant and their family’s needs.

Free Clinical Consultation

To help us create a personalized treatment plan that meets the participant’s needs, we’ll schedule a free clinical consultation after we learn more about the participant’s specific circumstances.

Psychiatric Assessment

A mental health provider will see the participant for an in-depth assessment prior to starting treatment.

Therapeutic Assignment

Based on the clinical consultation, we will assign a primary therapist specializing in the participant’s treatment needs. They will support the participant through their time with Embrace U, from admission to aftercare planning. The participant will join a therapeutic group based on their age.

Comprehensive Treatment

We believe comprehensive treatment plans are essential for sustainable healing. In addition to group therapy, the participant will be carefully placed in individual and family therapy sessions. Utilizing this multi-pronged treatment approach allows the participant to heal from the root cause, not just the symptoms.

Our goal is to prepare the participant and their family for sustainable healing right from the start, which is why we begin planning aftercare at the time of admission. The staff at our Brentwood mental health clinic work closely with individuals, families, and community partners to ensure our participants have the appropriate tools and resources to graduate from our program and build healthy, fulfilling lives.
